What is THE Precision Rifle DISCIPLINE?

Precision Rifle is a dynamic discipline, focused on real-world practical scenarios the shooter may encounter in the field. It aims to challenge shooters through the use of obstacles, positional shooting and movement between shots, all within stage time limits. It tests the shooter’s marksmanship and challenges their ability to solve problems quickly and adapt to different situations.

A designated Match Director will design a course of fire that involves a series of stages shot individually by competitors. It varies every match, requiring shooters to perfect a range of shooting skills.

Precision Rifle QLD offers club-level matches in centrefire rifle and pistol. Our discipline closely mirrors the Precision Rifle Series Australia rules, which is the national standard for Precision Rifle competition.

Precision Rifle QLD is proud to be an affiliated club of PRS Australia and hosts 2-day national-level matches annually.
